Darren Davies

I completed my undergraduate degree in History (Modern European) at the University of Bradford in 2012. Moving here to Manchester, I then completed a Masters in War, Culture and History funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council in September 2013. I have recently started my PhD which will explore and analyse representations of the internment of enemy aliens in wartime Britain. Funded by the Economic Social Research Council and Presidents Doctoral Scholar award, I hope to complete my thesis in 2016 and pursue a research and university lecturing career. I am co-organising the 2014 North West Gender Conference to be held in Lancaster in April and hope to present a paper myself.
