Hi, everyone! For our final careers piece this year, we just want to draw your attention to some facilities you can use before the end of the academic year and over summer.
- Graduate JobSearch – online
Don’t waste time by looking for jobs in the wrong places. Head on over to this website (www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/findjobs/graduatejobs/grad-jobsearch), where the Careers Service have compiled links to useful vacancy sites and targeted job searches to help point you in the right direction. This is perfect for final year students, but also great for first and second years to be thinking about job hunting.
- Finalist Futures – 5-16th June
If you’re still in Manchester after you finish your exams, consider going to the series of workshops that the Careers Service have put together. They are looking to support final year students in taking their first steps into life after uni. Some examples of workshop topics are interviews, psychometric tests, CVs and covering letters, and postgraduate study. Sign up beforehand by searching for Finalist Futures on CareersLink or just turn up on the day. Further details can be found here: www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/events/finalistfutures.
We really hope you have been finding the careers section in every issue helpful. If you ever have any other questions, you can always contact the University of Manchester Careers Service. They have plenty of information on their website (www.careers.manchester.ac.uk) or you can speak to members of the team in person by visiting The Atrium on the first floor of University Place. Alternatively, ring 0161 275 2829 or use the online web chat that can be accessed via the website linked above. Good luck!
